The Californian, official tall ship of California, under sail heading out of San Diego harbor toward Point Loma on a warm and sunny day in April 2007. The Californian, currently a Maritime Museum of San Diego vessel, is a replica of the 1847 Revenu Cutter C.W. Lawrence, that patrolled the coast of California enforcing federal law during the gold rush.
