Stock photo of St. Anne's Chapel at The Grotto in Portland, Oregon in October 06. The Grotto is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and is toured by made people of all faiths at this Catholic shrine. Beautiful forest and landscaping surrounds the chapel. This building honors St. Anne, mother of Mary. Built in 1934 to house the Blessed Sacarment during the first United States Marian Congress. It continued to serve as a chapel before the chapel of Mary was built. Now it houses numerous Madonna paintings from many countries.
