Stock Photo Description: This is close up photograph of a sled dog getting checked by a veterinarian at the Rainy Pass check point during the 2007 Iditarod dog sled race. All dogs are rested and checked by vets at each check point before they can continue. Injured dogs are flown back to anchorage by bush plane where they are cared for until they are picked up by their mushers.
