Stock Photo Description: It's been called the greatest image of Crater Lake ever captured. Standing on the rim of Crater Lake, Oregon's spectacular and unique national park, came this moment I will never forget. I had spent days circling the vast lake shoeshoe-backpacking with all my camera gear. On the second morning at twilight, standing on the corniced rim of this rare and spectacular vantage point in frigid weather I exposed what I knew would be one of the best images of my lifetime. The composition flowed perfectly and depicted the area in all its grandeur after a winter storm had left a beautiful compliment of fresh snow glowing under the rich twilight sky. Wizard island is included at lower-left. The image makes excellent prints.
